Sandisk CF 8GB 30MPS

Great value cards, I must have about 10 of the 8gb ones and a couple of the 16gb ones, never had any problems with these and seem pretty fast enough for me, even fast shooting at sporting events.

I know that 16GB is the newer tech but I'd rather have 2 8GB in case of a failure.
I don't shoot any Video though, I guess if I did 16GB is advantageous

I use 16gb in my D700, so I do not have to keep taking cards in and out, I can do a days shooting and download straight from the camera.

Just ordered 1! I was going to get the 60Mb/s one, but at over twice the price I didnt really see the point.

I have 2GB and 4GB Ultra II cards, and the speed of those is fine.

I ordered two yesterday when they were in stock as an interim (whilst I save for Extreme version).

Cheap cards!

Just had an email.. Out of stock, even though the stock meter said plenty.. Ordered on the 15th, so anyone after me prepare for a wait.

I've just checked and they're showing as dispatched for me, thank god!

Glad it wasn't the long wait in the end!
I might actually order myself another couple if they're back in stock!

Excellent deal. I've purposefully never used greater than 4gb per card on jobs.. I only have an 8gb card for travelling with my g10. So.. hmm.. do I risk it?

Back in stock by the way. Bought one.

Back in stock I notice.

Erm, what's the difference between these and the Extreme III cards which are also rated at 30MB/s?

I think it's just marketing, one is called Extreme III and the latest is Ultra, just a way of updating each year I guess?

The ExtremeIII cards are 'environmentally sealed' - basically can withstand hotter temperatures and maintain read/write speeds plus also stand up to certain amount of water/dirt ingress.

I've got two of these but will be replacing with Extreme cards once I've got a bit more cash - just can't take the risk of losing images from a Rally or Mountain Bike race, often on the cold and wet.

Interesting...I stand corrected I though the Extreme cards had been replaced with the Ultra's?
