sandisk cards....HELP!!!!

Hi all, I seem to have encountered a major problem with all of my Sandisk cards...I use them in my Canon 350D, and this evening when I was clearing all files from them to make room for a big shoot tomorrow (I clear the files just through it's folder via 'My Computer'), and once I had cleared everything, and popped them back into the camera (have both a 4GB and 8GB ultra III), the camera kept reading them as 'full' as though they hadn't had files cleared....any ideas??? This has never happened before, and I'm really in a jam as I have a shoot in the morn! :( xxxxx Thanks
 
I thought it was only men who ignore instruction books:exit::D
 
I used to delete them on my computer, but kept getting odd problems like that, so always format in the camera now, seems much quicker and reliable :)
