Road signs...phone boxes...that must be the first page....serious catching up by the sounds of it. That was my red phase. :) but thanks for looking. :thumbs:

High Key or what...?? no more dark moody and mono tonight! ... and ready to kick zombie a55!!! Two Speedlites behind me firing onto a white sheet and another one front to my right on 1/4 i do believe. The others were full power. Slight PP round the edges helping the light creep round my jacket and hair (must find that comb??) ... plus usual sharpening and hlighs/shadow adjustments, tweak of the contrast after B&W filter...and a small dabble with the burn tool around the face and guns, to bring out detail..

The flowers photograph, I had a Blink, moment - no thought, just knew I liked it (linky to an excellent book). Reminded me of Silent Hill...very gothic horror.

If these are self protraits, how do you get the focus spot on...??I really struggle with focus :bonk::bonk::bonk:

..andy..i'll let you into a secret.... cable release... both remote and actual cable... i use a combination. The cable is long enough for the distance i am, over that i ensure the room is well lit and use a remote, the karaoke one was remote, you can just see it in my right hand?? under the paper.. sometimes i get it wrong...

...also...sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! .... wear slippers ....why? ... once you have the camera focused, leave them where you're standing... then switch to manual focus... thus, camera will stand sharp on the spot plotted by your slippers...and with slippers you can stand on them (the soft ones) instead of risking moving them... SIMPLEZ!! :thumbs:

...now excuse me... i think i'll post this in portraits ... ?? :shrug:

....that's right andy...slippers...... if you want... i'd quickly write the sequel to the first book..but my publisher has given me strict instructions and an embargo on the whole stock... :thumbs:

Kev, your looking very mafia like in that last SP :thumbs: it's really great and I'm loving the muted tones in that photo, it works so well :clap: it's great to see how well your doing as I'm sure I couldn't keep up the standard of selective stuff that you've done so far in this challenge :clap:

thanks matt... said it before, it isn't easy. Then sparks of inspiration drag me off in another direction...

..i've already been asked what february will bring...dare i think that far ahead....:bang:

Tezz.........now did you really think I've give away what Feb colour would be about....? it was in that text somewhere....but process of elimination.....you're getting there...
