A bit of background: I've come from Canon (started with a 400d about 12 years ago, moved to a 40d then 1Ds2, then 5d2 and 5d3, most recently I had the 5d3 and 6d which I bought at launch). Slowly selling my lenses as I don't use them enough and want to get some cash out of the cameras, and at the same time move to a smaller system before I go on holiday next month.
Looking at the Samsung NX500, it really fits the bill. Autofocus that should beat the 6d, AF point tracking, better colour rendition and dynamic range than my FF cameras, in a portable body. Now to find some decent lenses!
The issue is whether Samsung are likely to support or return to the NX range in the future. I can't find any information on this online. I wouldn't want to spend £600 on the NX500 and £1500 on the 16-50 2-2.8 and 85mm, only to find it's all worthless 3 years down the line.
So, current Samsung users, what are your thoughts?
