Anyone used one ? Or does anyone one have any experience using one for photo viewing using Samsung TV with Wi-Fi

Not used the Galaxy Tab, but have a Galaxy S2. There's a pre-installed app called AllShare that lets you share photos, videos and music to any DLNA enabled device (PS3, Smart TV, etc). Seems to work pretty well, by the look of this youtube vid its on the 10.1 too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v82s_6j5fMw

Gotta say my initial enthusiasm has worn off and now I wish I'd gone for an iPad.

The lack of quality Android apps for tablets is appalling, plus I really miss not having iTunes on this.

If my wife wants to put a movie on her iPad it couldn't be simpler, yet to get a movie on the Galaxy tab requires so many steps (the first of which is getting my MacBook to recognise the Tab) that it's offputting.

I basically now use it as an RSS reader. Next time I stay with the Apple ecosystem.

I reckon the problem there is Apple, of course Apple products are going to mesh better with your MacBook, that's the way they are designed (in your words an 'ecosystem'). On a (my) Win7 pc it's just a matter of plugging the Android device in to the usb port.

I had a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 for 2 days before it went back to John Lewis for an iPad 2.
I just could not get the Kies software to input any images, they just kept overriding each other.
Personally I think the software is more for their phones than pads
The iPad is a dream

I cannot wait until my iPad3 arrives so I can shift my Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Ok, so the user experience is better when you put a Cyanogenmod 9 ROM on it....but the apps are still awful....and I hate the aspect ratio.

Nope, ANY other product connected to the MacBook is fine. And you wouldn't believe how many steps I'd need to go through to put a movie on it.
The lack of decent apps is a bad situation for Android tablet makers too. No wonder this is another market that Apple dominate.
