Hi all,

I really not up on phones at all and only have one of these because "I was entitled to an upgrade".

My problem is this - when I'm in a wifi area internet speed is fine. But when I'm not in a wifi area internet speed is atrocious. For example using the Facebook app it hardly ever loads the news feed and never loads my business page. But when I'm in a wifi area all is dandy.

Are there any settings in the phone I can change to make it connect to the web faster.

Maybe someone can give me some advice…..?
 
Well it's supposed to be good around here (Peterborough). Not only that but I find it's mostly naff wherever I am - and I do travel around quite a lot.
 
Keep your eye on the data icon, does it show G, 3G or H ?
 
The Facebook app on android is cack - on my s2, it only loads when it feels like it, whereas all of my other apps seem fine on 3g/h
 
Mine is the same [samsung galaxy note], I need a full [3G?] signal to get the facebook app to load properly, but the browser & other apps like instagram will work quite happily with most things other than no signal at all :shrug: When it does load, seems to work ok, but is a tad annoying.
 
For some reason yesterday the TP app on my galaxy s3 stopped working, saying there was a plug in error or something like that. Removed app and tried re installing, but says there is an error at the app store.
