Connect with a USB cable through Kies , not Kies air and it should be there. Doesn't do it through Kies air.

Kies has had an update in the last few weeks, and ics won't install until you're running the latest version - force it to update, then see how you get on. I just kept plugging and unplugging the USB lead until I finally got the ics upgrade option
Hi, think I have the latest version of Kies: 2.3.0.12035_16 and it says I have the latest version. I'll redownload and see if any change.
Cheers.
Im on o2 and i just went to phone settings - About phone - software update - then update, worked for me last week.
Those of you who are on O2 and can't update to ICS despite others saying the update is available is because, although many people don't realise it, there are currently two varients of the Galaxy S2 in the uk.
The older one has got the update (GT-I9100), the newer one (GT-I9100G) has NFC, a newer chipset which improves battery life and is still on gingerbread.
My wife has the newer one and I have the old one. I've had the update for weeks, she still hasn't got it. From what I understand, the update is coming so hang tight.
Sorry Andy, I meant P. My wife's phone is indeed a GT-I9100P with NFC from O2. Don't know where I got G from!
