I have spoken up in defence of Sams in recent threads as I have generally found service to be pretty good, with only 1 problem order and maybe 1 or 2 that took a little longer to arrive. Quality has always been superb, even to him sending 2 sets of prints through as 1 set had a small mark on the corners (would not have noticed most of them if not pointed out).
However, have been let down massively on an order. Luckily these are new samples, not a customer order, but I really wanted them for a baby show I was doing. Along with prints I also ordered some large prints which were effectively posters. I had asked on here if anyone could mount and David said he could, so sent the order. A week later I chased and could never get hold of him, left messages about the urgency, sent an email and when I did speak was told they are printed and just need mounting. Show came and went and I had to get some ok copies at Staples done at last minute.
A series of calls after the show chasing was told the same, promised they would be out last Thursday, and now some 3 weeks after ordering, no sign.
Now, we all forget to do things, and make mistakes, but it is a battle to speak to anyone (phone normally rings for a while then cuts out). I cannot afford now to place business with Sams anymore as I need to then send them out to my customers without delays. I have no problem with "we have an issue and they will not be sent for another week" as I can tell my customer that. Its the not knowing, and then having to order elsewhere.
It is a real shame, as like I have said, the quality is the best, but will now have to use DSCL as their turnaround is superb, and on the last set (ordered Thurs night, arrived Sat) were actually very good.
