Daily ~Sam~'s 365 - one day at a time

Oh wow Sam, there is some really wonderful photo's since my last visit, I think that the full B&W is the better of the two on the butchers shop one  it looks like you had a great holiday, with some wonderful scenery that you've captured well

Thanks for the comments, Matt - glad you like them! :)

Ok, so today I was actually working in Nottingham (lovely close to home and haven't been for a few weeks), took my camera expecting to be able to get out for a while and visit some places. That was before I realised the magnitude of the paperwork/admin exercise I was tasked with today and the fact that half of my local management team turned up! Plus some people I work with I haven't seen for a while, so most of the day was spent inside working hard (honest) and having a laugh!

Sadly, I have developed an allergy to 'in-the-house-what-the-hell-do-I-take-tonight' photography, so this is what you get today!!:lol:

£40 lighter is an easy thing to happen in there! You should try it though, it's amazing!

Sssssshhhhhh, you, I'm back there tomorrow and working about a 15 second walk away!:eek::shake::lol:

Mmmmmmmmm chocolat!!!! Go in there I dare you!
Really like this Sam!

i like this too, you've just caught that end of the day light and feeling - nice processing too

You don't have to dare me, T, just a teeny weeny suggestion will get me scooting in! :)

DO IT!!! And take a photo for proof ;)

I will - of me at WW!!!!

Thanks, Sarah - pleased you like it! Luckily, I left work just in time for the last light otherwise I'd still be here wondering what jewelry to shoot next! :D

I just know that one day I'll have a picture of a clock at 11.59

:lol::lol:

Damn, should have got in there with that idea before you!!

I just know there will be house doors after I finish with every church in the area!

I also know I might get in as the earliest of the day with a picture of a clock at 12.01!!!:lol::lol::lol:

I even have a list of shots I want to take, but some days I just look at it and go na, can't be bovvered - lets find some other bit of random stuff

I have one of those lists of suggestions and I look at it and think 'Love'? WTF?? 'Red'? Are you nuts, list compiler? Then I end up with another photo of a church door, which I have just been INFORMED is just too much.

My next photo is of Mark lying on the floor ( not as shiny as yours) lamenting that comment!:lol::naughty:

Lovely work Sam , great place Nottingham

Thanks, Vince! I quite like Nottingham, but everywhere's great when you don't live there (with one or two notable exceptions! ;):D)

I need some help here - went AWOL on my way back to the car but didn't have too much time. However, as it was the first blue sky I have seen here in god only knows how long I had to take advantage. Went to the canal, woould have preferred to spend longer, but that's not possible when at work!

2 for me as well Sam, glad to see you are getting some blue skies again.

I think the first does it for me! compositionally is much better!

Thanks, Jake - sorry you were outvoted! :)

#2 for me! #1 does nothing for me at all :(

#2 for me too :)

Like the composition of them both, but no.2 has more interest with the boat etc.

Thanks for your replies, everyone, and for helping me decide! :) I've edited out the first pic and gone with the second!

BTW, Phil, it's great to have blue skies but sadly the forecast looks like it's going to be beck to grey at the weekend :'(

Mmmmm - not too sure about this one, but don't know why. Too low down perhaps or a bit more contrast needed

Didn't wanna win anyway :(

Like todays shot! Works well in B&W! :) Couldn't found an arrow pointing away from you though

Lucky old you then! :lol::lol:

Glad you like it - I was standing outside of the car park looking in (it's a disused one) and having to get up on my toes to get that, so no, I couldn't get an arrow pointing away from me! What did you think I did? Lie on the ground like some kind of tramp? Or photographer?:lol: I'm neither, so that wasn't going to happen! :D

I'm happy enough with it given the scope for alternative angles I had. it's not a favourite for me, but I am OK to put it as a 365. Maybe I'll find something tomorrow you prefer! :)

I was going to put another, but grumpy OH stated it was too noisy! Which is was, but it was one heck of a lot more cheerful! I'm going to ban him from seeing what I do soon!

Dont know Sam, it doesnt do a lot for me im afraid.
My OH looks over my shoulder too and offers "helpful" advice, not always wanted.

That's OK, it's my 365 and that is what I decided to put up, so I stand by it. Sorry you didn't like it. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
