oooh how lovely to have a chinese that delivers, I have to either collect mine or eat in. One downside to living in the back end of nowhere :(

I think I'd do the drive and keep that wonderful view if I had the chance but, yeah, it's nice to have it driven to me on occasion! :)

Just caught site of it behind the buildings as I drove to work the other day and decided to take a look.....now, today wasn't ideal, windy (very, very windy) cold, miserable, so I'll probably spend more time and take more care when I go back! :D

I love the ripples in the water from the wind. Lots of really nice colours in there that all come together nicely. Nice one!
 
Looks like a nice location Sam. There would be some nice detail in the barges on the canal too.
You might get a few shots out of it.

Thanks, Phil - I certainly hope to revisit this a few times over the year (not much else where I happen to be...a great church and a canal!! :D).

Thanks, Matt, it was pretty tight and cropped to get rid of something so not much room for maneuver - and the angle I took it from was a bit off as well. Will keep it in mind for next time :)

Thanks, Sarah - I do have one at an almost 30 degree angle when the wind whipped my camera around! Not much cover around me there! :D

Thanks, Kev! :) We actually have a far more superior canal (in my opinion) in Nottingham, but I don't work in town anymore so can't just nip over....but it is definitely on my list for this year...

I'm definitely going to try some tighter, detailed shots of the narrowboats as there is so much to see in them.
 
Well I would say be demotivated more because that is GORGEOUS!.... But seriously I hope you are ok

I just want to say thank you so much to you guys for your concern - it's been a slightly fraught time here with soap-worthy family dramas, devastating medical news about a loved one and a cough that hasn't allowed me to sleep for 3 weeks so I was a little down last night. Sorry about translating that to a bit of a whine. I really do appreciate those posts, though so (again) thank you! :)...

Normal service will now resume! :)

Have to say, though, I'm not as good! :lol: Did make an attempt to break free from the office but made the mistake of taking the 'phone with me...and the boss rang 'blah, blah, blah.....need it NOW...blah, blah blah'. I knew I wouldn't be too bothered when I got in, so this somewhat mundane offering is what you have today!

There is nice colouring in the key shot, good dof - you did your best with what you had :D
 
Nice and sharp and you worked with what you had... lighting is good too:thumbs:

As Vince said - the key to the door of inspiration and ideas :D Not sure about the other option though .... black holes are always a strange subject to shoot :lol:
