Daily ~Sam~'s 365 - one day at a time

Just as I thought I couldn't get less time out with the camera, managerial types turned up at work.....so, I present the street I work on (hang on, that sounds kind of wrong !).

See that coffee shop on the right hand side? Looks lovely, doesn't it? I thought so too so went in and ordered a teacake to take back to the office. They gave me a massive box so the greed in me surfaced and got very happy - when I opened it, right in the middle was a burnt piece of something about the size of a two pound coin. Yum.

Market Street, Loughborough.............

At least you had blue sky Sam, I had to abandon work at lunch time as my waterproofs were well past being waterproof and my wellies were slowly filling up as the rain soaked down through me.
Is your street corner on the right or left?;)

BUT, I had 70 MPH winds while I took that!:lol:

I am not telling you anything about my street corner, me laddy! :D

I have one here in Swindon too

My condolences, Jake :shake:

Makes me glad that we have a good coffee shop near where I work. I am also jealous of the sky, dull flat grey here.

Wednesday is my favourite day of the week as we have a great place near the office I work in...they do me well done bacon with all the fat trimmed off on a roll! I might even use that as my 365 one of these days, it's THAT special!

I have had dull flat grey for too long now...yesterday was a great start but by the time I decided to do anything it was the same old rubbish again! :gag:

sam. liking day 28, that lead in line along the ground is great.. could have done with a nudge over slightly... but i love the perspective of a long street and cloudy blue sky

Well, that coffee shop is very deceptive then, it looks rather nice from the outside.

Nice bit of street photography though.

Both great shots Sam :)

The pastels are lovely colours and know what you mean about trying things out and finding they either dont work with you or they get boring pretty fast  been down that road many a day

Love the street scene and the sky is lovely - wondering what country that could be in as Im sure it isnt UK

great street photography Sam...Leading Line is ace....

Thanks, both of you. You know the worst thing? I didn't really think too much about it at the time and when I saw it in PS I was shaking my head thinking I should have moved a bit - tried a couple of things but they didn't work out! :)

Thanks, Sarah - and yes, you are right, it looks very inviting from the outside! :D

Thanks, Carol - those pastels lasted about a nano-second before I realised I just don't 'do' that kind of stuff! Glad you like the street scene as well! :)

LOL - that title is like something my sister comes up with! :help::lol:

Managed to get a walk around the park today - never knew there was an aviary there...got a couple I like but where a bit too OOF, so they went.......spotted these balustrades and thought they worked quite well

Mind you, I was also quite fond of this little guy as well...

Squirrel (AKA a squidget, apparently!) by ~sammi~, on Flickr

so I thought I'd add him as I don't often take photos of little squirrely squirrels!:D

Balustrades works very well, I bet it would look good in mono too.

I think I'd have used Secret Squirrel and then balustrades another day - if I ran out of ideas

You know what? I thought that and suggested it to OH (who is becoming very near to being on my un-friend list) and he said I should use the other...I am seeing a pattern here - whenever he prefers one, others say I should have used the other!:eek::lol:

Told you before - Men - Pah

A squirrel! My mum always calls them squidget's, so it's kind of stuck, I didn't realise it was only us.

It's only you, sweetie...and your Mum! :D

I am now educated and it's kind of a cute name for them as well! :)

I feel proud of you Sam!:lol:

See Phil has the hang of the name

Well, thank you, I guess! And I bet you a fiver Phil just saw it for the first time tonight but thought it was funny!:D

like them both but am veering towards the 'squidget' as a fave :D

I like the processing on the street shot. And while I like the patterns and curves of the balustrades - the squirrel is the winer for me of those two.
