Hi all

Wonder if you could help me with something, I am trying to create a pipeline funnel report and need a decent sales funnel graphic - my manager likes the one on this site:

http://www.b6group.com/suggestions/the-results-leader-210

Can anyone help with how I go about creating one?

how do you record the sales process, and what do you record (enquiries/leads/proposals/sales etc?) just now?

Smart Art has some useful diagrams. I can see a similar pyramid diagram but no funnel in the standard set.

At the moment, we just have a crudely drawn bitmap four stage funnel with cells over the top with our figures in (it's in a business objects report)

It is possible to get a basic funnel shape using Visio that can be editted to include custom text in each section. It's 2-dimensional though.

Thanks Alastair, I googled SmartArt and see that it's Office 2007.......only have 2002 here at work! And I don't have Visio :(

I'm not too fussed about the text as I need to use the cells in Business Objects

if you are prepared to spend a little bit have a look at ACT. Doesn't have to be the most up to date version but it's good at pipeline reporting, this is one of mine just now.

I doubt they will want to but thanks anyway. All it is needed for is this one pipeline report, we use Business Objects for all our reporting

Does it have to be 3D like the one in the link that you showed us?

If not, you can put together a fairly decent funnel diagram in Powerpoint using the autoshapes if you spend a little time on it. Add some graduated shading etc. to give it a more professional feel.
That's what we're using for ours at work - then same as you, imported into Business Objects and overlaid transparent reporting cells onto it.

Easy enough to draw one in Powerpoint or Word using Autoshapes (trapezoid, rotate through 90o, copy, paste and scale down 4 times to get your funnel).

If you get really stuck could probably throw up an example at some point over the weekend.
