i think you have to charge before use, rather than during. but at 1150 flashes per charge, i wouldnt think it would be a prob. and you can carry a spare battery (NiMh ) anyway. takes seconds to change.

No. What you can do though is to plug the charger into the generator pack, then when your model gets changed etc and you switch the generator off, it will automatically start recharging the battery.

I've never run out of battery using my Safari, and it's been hammered at some shoots.

However, for a modest additional cost, and great peace of mind, I have a spare battery.
