Oh my god, that is such sad news and terribly unlucky. I'm really sorry to hear it but thank goodness you survived. Cameras can be replaced, but it sounds like you had a seriously lucky escape. Hope you make a full recovery.

Just to add my own best wishes for a full recovery, to everyone else's ... And my sympathies go out to the family of the man who was killed.

Really this emphasises the point that life is short and precious and we never know when our number will be up.

Wow, so sorry to hear of all you have been through.... My sympathy to the other family for their loss! Sad you have lost all that equipment but as others have noted, would have been sadder still had you lost your life. It will take time to build up equipment again yes, but thank goodness you are around to be able to! Speedy recovery to you! X

Thanks everyone. The good news is that I do have insurance that should cover my damaged equipment. 500. Dollar deductible. but that's better then replacing it at a cost of 6300 like I would be dealing with without the insurance.
