Their site does not answer this so ideas???

Planning a trip in April, 2 adults & 2 kids. Hold baggage is £25 or £35 outbound depending on weight but they have 50% off children's baggage. We were only taking 2 cases so anything to stop us booking them both under the kids and none for us?
 
Phone them and ask but do it from a number they don't have on record!
 
Ryanair have pretty large carry on so everyong just take one of them :-)
 
Ryanair is a swear word in my house.
Never mind the luggage, make sure you pay to pre book your seats so you don't face ejection by the pilot for refusing to sit your three year old next to total strangers. Also remember to find an Internet connection if you are away for more than a week to allow you to do online check in for your return flight, that mistake cost us over £300 to manually check in three passengers.
Sorry, don't want to dampen your hold but be aware of all the criteria and charges. Every cabin bag also checked against there spec with on the spot £50 fines.
Off for a calming cuppa and biscuit!
 
While the customer service may be lacking at times, cant fault Ryanair myself. Not when 2 ad and 1 ch are flying to Koln and back on Sat for £50 combined!!!
 
And remember 1 cabin bag is exactly that ! A woman's handbag is 1 cabin bag so she can't travel light with a cabin bag and a camera bag

These days I'm pretty sure they do allow that (as I fly to Poland a couple of times a year with them).
 
Ryanair allow 2x bags in cabin
1xcase and 1x small carry o.
we went to gran canaria at xmas with them
its ok big bus service
 
I wasn't allowed it flying to Dublin - one carry on bag was just that - it could have been quite a bit bigger case than the one I needed - but my camera would not have been allowed in its bag with the various bits and pieces that go in a camera bag. Oh and that was last year !!
 
There are some great deals to be had if you know how to play the game. Just that the rules are far from transparent and the penalties severe.
My flights for 2 adults one child return to Majorca, booked late with all the shizzle I encountered cost me almost 2 grand. Year after I flew Emirates to Dubai for less, customer service was slightly better too.
At £50 or so I am prepared to play the game with cheap airlines and don't expect much, at 2 grand I expect to be treated as well as a refugee !
 
I had the normal small wheeled trolley and a small man handbag which just had wallet and my olympis trip in and a few.items

What cabin baggage can I carry?


You can carry one cabin bag weighing up to 10 kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 onboard the aircraft.

Due to cabin space limitations only 90 large cabin bags (55 x 40 x 20 cms) can be carried in the cabin, any bags remaining will be carried free of charge in the aircraft hold.

Passengers who have purchased Priority Boarding will not be asked to place their cabin bag in the aircraft hold, unless necessary due to operational reasons.
 
Yep that's what my missus read and ok for us

The only thing I've found so far that I don't like with Ryanair (and others) is the mad rush when the gate opens - but I guess that is in case your carry on gets bumped into the hold if you're towards the end getting on and there is no more space in the overhead lockers.

What happened to the good old civilised days when boarding was done by row numbers?
 
We used them last summer to fly to Sevilla, and it was 1 cabin bag only PP then (no separate camera bag for me).
 
Used them at Christmas, same as you 2 x adults 2 x kids. You only get the 50% discount if an adult checks a bag in. However the kids get 10kg carry on each. HTH. You are allowed a small laptop/handbag so a small camera bag "should" be ok. Some of the handbags could have carried one of our kids! But I wouldn't chance it, I've see the ground staff be very very difficult with people.

Just flown to Krakow with them for a long weekend taking just cabin baggage - if you stay with what is published on the website and make sure that you confirm your flights you are fine ie You can carry one cabin bag weighing up to 10 kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 onboard the aircraft. , if you try to push the envelope you will get clobbered, its not like their conditions aren't published.
The worst thing about them is the horrible Yellow Cabin Colour!
At the end of the day they are a LOW COST airline- if you want BA service pay BA's prices
