Ryan Giggs named in Parliament!

Let's see if Fergie decides to start him on Saturday...

I think his biggest mistake (after throwing it about with a d list) was saying that he would sue Twitter and all users perpetuating the rumour. Somewhat naive.

Just like Zidane, at the end of a glorious career his head will be hung in shame.

Why??

This whole thing is a private matter, nothing to do with his professional life.

Would you stop a fire fighter entering your house and doing his job as he was caught playing away?
Would you stop a surgeon operating on you because he cheated on his wife?

The whole media circus surrounding this is crazy. There are only two people that know the truth (possibly three if he has fessed up to the missus). The media get wind of something and then seek out and destroy by any means before moving on to the next target.

Personally i do not care what mistakes he has made in his private life and nobody else should have a right to know either.

Sadly whilst I agree with you, the media have a job to do and it is scandal like this that helps bring in the revenue.

Sadly once you become a high profile figure in society you lose your entitlement to a private life thanks to the media.
But anyone with a half ounce of brains should realise that.

Commensense should have told RG that if if you mix it with a Z list celeb behind your WIFE & KIDS back then you run the risk of the other side going to the papers!
He has got far more to lose than she has so I have no sympathy for him or her whatsoever, him especially.

And if his wife sweeps this under the carpet like it didn't happen then she is a mug too!

Money cannot buy you love, happiness or silence.

Premiership footballers along with TV personalities and actors are all well paid *because* the public are interested in them. If no-one was interested in Man U then they would not be able to pay their players the stupid salaries.

It is ridiculous to think that you can only have it "one way". Doting dad on holiday, fine, loving husband supporting a pregnant wife, fine. Idiotic twit messing around with a pretty girl suddenly no press welcome. They want to have the cake and gorge themselves on it.

If you don't want the public inspection of your life, don't be a public person.

He hasn't exactly chosen to be a public person though has he? He just wants to play football and earn a living that way. The guy has openly said that the celebrity life that comes with being exceptionally good at his sport is an unwanted product that he's tried to hide away from more and more since the 1990's. I don't agree that just because he's one of the greatest footballers in the world that we should all have access to his private life.

Maybe we shouldn't and if like a fellow footballing recluse and team mate Paul Scholes had he lived a scandal free private life then I would be with you 100%,however he is a very wealthy public figure who has tried to use his money to hide his extra curricular activities and as such I think he has made himself fair game.

Whilst I don't really care about football and care even less about Ryan Giggs I'm quite happy for him to have been outed in this way.

Regardless of whether "he just wants to play football", he has a bigger responsibility than that. Him and his like are held up as examples to the younger more impressionable generation of what people can achieve and they're rewarded handsomely for fulfilling such a public role (if he really just wanted to play football and not be a public figure he should have found a 3rd division team to play for) it is important that the people who worship footballers are reminded that they are only human, capable of mistakes and really they're not worthy of the worship at all.

More importantly it reminds the government and the judges that they work for us, not the other way around and that the issuing of super injunctions has gone too far. I hope now that he has been outed several more of these "celebrity" injunctions which are for nothing more than vanity in many cases are busted wide open. Not because I'm interested in which actors are paying hookers to shove dildos up their arse but because they should not be allowed an additional level of privacy to you and I just because they can afford it.

As long as it's not into me or my Mrs, I really couldn't give a flying four x where mr Giggs wants to hide his sausage.

Someone in agreement with me.

What a load of guff. Some people have drive and ambition. They want to be the best at what they do.

Oh the picture did make me laugh too. Irony and sarcasm are often the funniest types of humour.

If he did "just want to play football" this story and the media circus around it would never have happened. Unfortunately he decided to have an affair with a D List celebrity....he is well aware of the attention this would get because he has seen what has happened to his own team mates and obviously has experience himself from when he was seeing Dani Behr years ago.

If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen....

If Imogen hadn't tried to sell her story none of this would have come out.

People have affairs all the time, do we see joe bloggs in the paper getting hounded ....no.

I don't like extra marital affairs but I hate, even more, people 'selling their stories'.

He broke his oath, to the man upstairs.

He will burn in the fires of hell:bat:

I see the photographers outside his house today got a bit roughed up and gear / vehicles damaged.

That's the most nonsensical post i've read in a while.

The point is that, in my opinion, even in football there is a clear distinction between his profession and his life outside of the game. Yes he's in the public eye for 90 minutes each weekend when he's on the pitch but that shouldn't mean he has to suddenly have his entire life exposed to the world. Just because you're a success at your profession doesn't give everyone the right to pry into every aspect of your personal life.

But was'nt he trying to be a role model. I.E the good dad and husband. After all did he not have his photo taken, on the pitch, in his M.U strip. And his kids in his arms. Seems like he set himself up, to be knocked down:shrug:

Ryan Giggs today admitted to suffering from homesickness, saying that even though he's happy in Manchester he does Miss Wales occasionally. :D:p:D

I don't know what photo you're referring to or when it was taken.

Shouldn't the above picture be a link because it has a watermark on it?....come on mods do your thang!

That's the thing. She didn't.

Oh yes she did, my mate on The Sun, tells me everything.......£100k was the figure she was offerred not what she asked for.

I wonder how much Clax Mifford is costing her?

Ask any kiss and tell instigator....they do it for noteriety and MONEY!

thats the second time in this thread - anyone care to guess how many more times that joke will come up

The whole thing is the biggest load of Tosh I've ever come across , all his money plus him sticking it where he shouldn't have, has brought nothing but grief to him and his family. Name and shame the lot of them .
There's more important things to worry about like , has anyone tried the new dirt3 yet ?

Apparently Imogen Thomas the z list celeb at the centre of the alleged affair is now moving towards a music career.
She will be only doing gigs in Manchester

Like it a lot RAFL

That looks to me like he's enjoying winning the 19th trophy and celebrating with his kids, I don't see how he's in any way portraying himself as a role model there
