Yes
Think an Antonov AN22 just flew over my house in Warrington.
It was the unusual engine noise that made me look outside and loud enough that I thought it must be military.
Googling not pulling up any airshows.
Do I need to break out the sandbags??
Wasn't quick enough to get a picture unfortunately.

Cheers. Must improve my search technique!!

Went over ours' in Ayrshire about 07-30 Thursday.

Funny looking propellers ...

Counter rotating, sounds different too.

The TU95 "Bear" has contra rotating props as well, and the tips move faster than the speed of sound, making it very loud.

In fact, the AN22 uses the same engines as the TU95. Each of the four turboprops produces 15,000 SHP (shaft horsepower), and the top speed of this aircraft is 460 MPH (the TU95 is 575 MPH). If you compare these aircraft with a Locheed Hercules transport - also turboprop powered - the Hecules produces 4590 SHP and has a top speed of 360 MPH.

Are you talking C130K or the modern C130J?
The K had four Allison T56-A-15 turboprops with 4,200shp each, the J has Four Allison AE 2100D3 turboprops with 4700shp each, the real advantage on the new ones is the increased ceiling, better fuel economy and shorter takeoff distance required... Supposed to be getting replaced by the A400M, which interestingly has each engine on it's wings turning in opposite directions (11000shp).

That A400M is a real beasty isn't it.

The A400M is a beauty and sounds superb.

My favourite prop powered plan was the Avro Shackleton. Snagged a North Sea flight during a summer camp as an Air Cadet. Another aircraft with contra rotating props!
