thanks I actually got told off by the theatre people for taking a picture and he told them off, said it was fine and posed for me (in a very 'macho' pose). Stupid thing didn't take the picture though (it may have been user error due to me shaking with embarrassment )

Busy few days at Alton Towers/Safari Park!

Got looooads of pics though so will be using some of them this week as I'm quite proud of them and I have no more space on the cards until I've done some more editing processing

Firstly, a marine/reptile theme! Quite pleased with these as they were all behind glass and the last two were in a darkened area.

010409 : Meerkat

One of my favourite animals in the world, I could have spent all day with the meerkats on Sunday at the Safari Park. I just love everything about them! The way each of them has a job and knows what it is, and how they protect their young. If you don’t watch Meerkat Manor, then you should - it’s the best programme on telly and gives you a fantastic insight into these fabulous little creatures and how they live.

My friend Vix makes some lovely jewellery and I was lucky enough this week to get hold of a pair of white star earrings she made.

Took the pooch out for a play in the garden and we went to go and get the wheelie bin from the alleyway and this little chap was insistent that he and his little friend get noticed. Ran back into grab the camera so I could get this shot

Couple of mobile phone pics here. The time on the clock is as the last bell rang out for the 96th person killed in the tragedy. It started at 3.06 and seemed to last forever.
A dark, dark day. Glad it's over, but am so proud of my City and her people x
