Rumored list of Nikon DSLR cameras that will not be replaced (with a new DSLR model)

Surprised if the D500 is not being replaced and the D7500 is being replaced.

Am not surprised the D500 will not be replaced, apparently it is not a big seller. But I will miss it, don't fancy using a big telephoto via an adapter and O don't see any real advantage going mirrorless yet. It will be years (10+) before Nikon have a full set of z lens. Currently there are no compelling reasons for me to upgrade, nothing in Nikon has released in the last few years has any real interest - the current crop of cameras are really good...

D750 to be replaced (upgraded???) after being released 5 years ago, it would have to have the same form factor which is great for me, have a couple of frames per second bump and have a wider focus area, apart from that there would be no reason to upgrade. I have only had the 750 for a month or so and to me it is an amazing piece of kit, the noise levels and low light capabilities are astounding, even in 2019.

Theses are only rumours. This guy doesn’t know a lot. Nikon are very tight lipped about future plans.
The main focus is on mirrorless. I think new DSLR introductions will decline fairly rapidly.

It took them a long time to replace the D300 with the D500 (the D7xxx was effectively the DX flagship for several years) so I wouldn't be that shocked not to see a direct successor. Will the lower end dSLRs be replaced by Z series cameras sooner rather than later? Quite possibly, depending (as always) on how many they are selling. But we'll need something a bit more solid than an unsubstantiated rumour like this

Only the top flagship is having a succession. Nothing in DSLR besides the D6 [emoji4]
