Rugby team sheets?

When togging for rugby are team sheets issued just before the match as with football ? Is it 45 mins each way and 15 mins H/T ?

40 mins each half though the clock gets stopped now and then so they can last longer.

Over in Aus team lists are released a few days before the game normally, not sure in the UK.

Depends entirely what age, level and location you are shooting at. All those factors influence the answer.

Might be worth having a read up on the sport Times do change depending on age group, normal men's games is 40 mins

Yea, my answer was based on senior rugby, and presuming anything that you'd need a team sheet for would be professional.

I tend to ask each player for their name & take a shot of their shirt back as they join the field either for warm up or just prior to kick off shapeshifter!.........

In pro rugby do they give a team sheet out in the press room before the match as they do at football. Also how is it possible to caption pich side in when the rugby players don't have a number on the front of their shorts like footie

They do give team sheets out at some grounds but others you need to know where the journalist sit.
Snap a back pic as the tackle breaks up for the number of a player.

That's hard work if you have an Agency wanting 15 photos captioning and transmitting in the first half ! Footie looks a doddle in comparison to Rugby.

Indeed it is!, if it''s try time expect to add a good few more from the try & celes?, I've sent upwards of 30 pics before half time when it's a high scorer! as most papers have a single, sometimes half, a page for RL so early images that hit the EPD''s are essential

I bet there are cameras,card readers and laptops being thrown all over the place! and then it's raining and frezzing cold.

it's called organised chaos!, "be prepared, or prepare to fail".

Rain cover works well for my laptop but the finger bit only comes into play for the footy in Winter as RL is a Summer game (apparently??)
