Hi all,

Recently purchased an Osprey 33l Talon rucksack and are now looking for a durable camera insert to take a D810, 3 lenses and accessories.
I've looked at the A-mode range on Amazon but wondered if anyone had any reasonably priced alternatives that will do the job.

Cheers
Neil

You might have already seen the inserts on Ebay but they a quite a few which might work for you.

I have one in a Firetrap messenger bag which I just picked up from eBay/Amazon. I think they all do the same thing really regardless of price so it's more a case of sifting through & finding one with the capacity & dimensions you need. The one I found for me couldn't have been a better fit in all honesty!!

I have a Neewer insert, bought from Amazon, and it's really nice, well padded and good quality.

I used to use a towel when I started in '78
Came in handy for hitching a lift on passing Vogon starships, or just for sitting on.
Seriously, it's not as easy to sit on inserts :)

I'm just about to buy the same rucksack so this is a most opportune thread

I had the same requirements but with a slightly larger rucksack, d810 and three lenses and ended up with one of these from Amazon (the strap is removable). It works fine and I get pretty much all the bits and bobs in it too - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Waterproof-Shockproof-Partition-Protection-Adjustable/dp/B00ME05Y6E/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1546085131&sr=8-4&keywords=Camera+insert&refinements=p_n_srvg_1642288031:1601128031

I have that insert in my same rucksack ie the talon 33, actually think it's the 36. It does the job but it's quite large for getting it in and out of the rucksack, I'm on the lookout for one slightly smaller to make it less of a faff.

i have the 22 Vanguard, it came with my shoulder bag, fits nicely in the Talon 22 rucksack. not sure it would take a d810 with a 70-200 attached, it struggles with a d3400 and 70-300.
