Long overdue. It always strikes me as odd that as a nation of animal lovers the RSPCA is pretty hated. It speaks volumes as to their behaviour

I completely agree, they just seemed ( over many years) to become more and more focused on money and only intereted in high profile cases.

I must admit that this quote made me smile.
Mr Cooper’s outspoken remarks will be viewed as a concerted effort to draw a line under an era of leadership which had overseen a worrying fall in donations.

I just hope that he is doing this for the right reasons

when my Grandmother died she left a small ish amount of money to them (about £500 if I remember.) Their lawyers must of spent more money then that chasing for sight of the will. I know my Dad wondered why he bothered being honest with them

So they are bequest £XXX and then just have to poke around to make sure that is all they are entitled to? .
As above I'm still speechless but not totally surprised if I'm honest!

Not the first time I;ve heard of that happening
I have no time for them TBH never had a good experience with them, they go for the east targets
and ignore a lot of animal suffering

Indeed could not agree more! Things have a habit of changing when the money stops coming in. Its a motivator alright!

Disgraceful I wouldn't give em a penny - PDSA has been amazing with a few people I have known who could not afford to pay VET bills, so I would give to them!

Actually she was 7 months old....beaten repeatedly with rolled up and taped newspapers. Thin as a rail when I got her. It was a month before she'd make eye contact.
Turned into the best dog you could wish for and died aged 14.

Same here, I couldn't fault the boots on the ground staff, they went out of their way to be helpful.

Sounds just like my "Annie" in every way! (although she was put to sleep at 16, back legs, of course)

I think Cwiss packham's a t***t ( and yes I have met him) but in this instance, I would also suggest that its a huge possibility.
