Nicely done. We used to live on the top floor of one like that. The rain used to run down the wall like a river

That's hardly behind at all!

Nice image for the theme.

Thanks, Paul. The thick black line down the centre is the shadow of the left 'block'.

Cheers, Dave. These multis were built in the 70s when I was a graduate Civil Engineer and have since been completely upgraded and refurbished a few years ago so should be watertight. :)

Colour version for me, the shadow adds a lot to the picture

Great shot Stan. I definitely like the b&w version the best.

Two nice shots Stan. I like your choice of #22 for your symmetry shot. I think that I prefer your colour shot of the forest.

Interesting shot Stan, I'd like to see it up close. It looks like it could provide a whole lot of excellent close-up/macro images.

Both fitting shots Stan - But the lighthouse is the better photograph for me :)

Thanks, Dave. I agree that the lighthouse is a more interesting subject. Because the rig is berthed beyond and to the right of the lighthouse and since I'm in the area, it's rude not to snap a picture of it.

The lighthouse is the better shot for me, perspective and colours plus the chimneys peeping over the wall. The rigs look like they should be dramatic but just a bit busy for that.

Nice shots Stan.Love a lighthouse, and that one looks a bit unusual.

Like both shots, #2 wins the most verticals though

Thanks, Keith, yes, theme-wise, there are more verticals than the lighthouse.

Cheers, Alan.

Thanks, Simon. It's a mobile drilling rig for offshore oil and gas exploration. The vertical trusses are support legs. When in location, they are retracted/jacked down to the seabed. Hence, the platform is known as Jack-Up.
