is anyone having trouble receiving mail and parcels from royal mail?
we have had no mail or parcels (i have 5 parcels from different areas that seem to be lost)
my wife phoned the local sorting office today and was fobbed off with them taking our number and promising to call back when of course they have not!:thumbsdown:
not happy as my holiday tickets for disney next weekend were posted monday and seem to be lost in the system
i will go into the sorting office in the morning to see what they have to say.
heard a rumour the postie was sick but i would have thought they would have replaced him?
 
A friend of mine in the Yorkshire area had to laugh a couple of months ago when he had a whole load of post delivered 3 years late!!!

Some if it includeed acceptances to his wedding lol, made the local papers !
 
I get prints from DSCL and they come in flat-ish boxes. I ALWAYs have to
go to the sorting office to pick them up. It takes DSCL overnight to get
them to me but i have to wait usually 72 hours to pick them up because
i get a failed delivery note.

Takes about 20-30 minutes in the sorting office (I wont mention the guy
in there only has one arm). The last time i was expecting a delivery i was
waiting behind the door and the guy delivering just rattled the letterbox ????.
He was already writing the note when i opened the door....... :shrug:

what worries me is that me or my wife have been in all week
we have had no failed delivery slips
im getting rather pee'd off over it now though as we have had nothing for a week not even junk mail so something is not right either with the sorting office or with the postie.

I ordered a nifty fifty from Amazon on last Friday (8 days ago now) and considering we normally get stuff within 3-5 working days (Amazon Warehouse in Greenock helps) I'm getting a bit anxious. I want my bloody fifty! :lol:
 
royal fail have started to randomly redirect the wrong mail from my address to the previous occupants via their mail redirect system, so my mail turns up sporadically when the previous occupants decide to post it back! useless idiots, but of course its a saturday and the royal mail sorting office is closed so i cant go up and raise merry hell with them!
 
had to leave early this morning and have just got home

we have had the postman come with 12 letters and the van came with 6 parcels
we still have not had the call back from the sorting office
i am disgusted with their service to say the least and will be sending a letter of complaint although i wont hold my breath
 
Just been thanked for a Standard Parcels package which arrived within 24 hours of sending :thumbs:

(I'd sent it before payment arrived, which is why I got the thanks.)
 
I think everyone has got fed up of Royal Mail at some time or another. A couple of years ago when I was in Reading I had a rather large box left on my doorstep on a Sat morning. what supprised me was it was still there on sunday evening when I got home baring in mind my door was directly on a busy st. I called the local sorting office to complain and the pretty much told me if it was still there what was the problem, they didnt want to know about a complaint!

Luckily my current postie has been pretty good!
