Anybody got any neat solutions for storing and transporting round filters? Probably only need to carry 6 of them up to 77mm diameter.

In an ideal world there’d be something like nisi’s hard case for their square system but for round filters. Not a big fan if those fold up soft wallets as filters seem to easily fall out.

I use a pair of screw in covers at each end and carry the filters as a stack in a pocket. I've had the filter caps for decades - I think they came from Polysales. Possibly SRB make them now.StackedFilters.jpg

Cheers both. I think the cd tins may be too big and rattly though I’ll give that some thought.

Quite like the stacking idea....

Couple of free lens cloths will sort the rattle out, and if you`re like me, there will be loads knocking around somewhere.

I just checked and SRB do supply them. The downside of course is that they limit you to one filter size per set. It didn't bother me, as all my OM lenses (at the time) were 49mm ones, as is the 150mm Symmar for my 5x4.

I've been using these for the last couple years and found them very good. They are metal, so have a bit of weight, but great for protection and keeping them all together. They are basically a metal sealed tube when screwed together. I have 3, in different sizes, bought from SRB. They don't make it easy to find them on their site though, as they call them 'Filter Stack Caps', which I can never remember.

It must be something to do with how different minds work. I checked to see if SRB made them by using "SRB filter stacking caps" as my search terms.

I went into the filter section, and then the thumbnail Filter Accessories, but they are not there. I searched for 'filter covers', 'filter protection', nothing. I ended up going and checking a previous order. I wonder how much stuff is on their site but hard to find. ;)

With a lot of sites, I find using a search engine is better than the on-site search. If I get really desperate, I can always get the search engine to only look at the one site by adding "site:www.site url" after the terms. I've been caught so many times, I usually search this way rather than relying on the site itself. It even works for "site:www.talkphotography.co.uk" for some searches :)
