hello everyone, i`m paul from west yorkshire. i became involved in dslr photography in july 2010 after deciding to give up motorcycling. i`m interesting in all aspects of photography but i don`t refer to myself as a photographer, rather someone who just enjoys using using a camera with enthusiasm!
looking forward to joining in and improving my skill.

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum, how can you give up motorbikes :nono: I have been riding motorbikes for years, I have taken a break from bikes I will get another one one day.

Motorbikes , Camping , Photography , web building , I love them all, but good at none of them

Hi Paul, another biker on a break here. Getting knocked off shortly after my son was born made me think about life, however whenever the sun comes out I get the urge to ride. Can't see me fighting it much longer :)

Welcome to the forum, lots to learn here and a friendly ole bunch too.

Same here had one or two near misses, still got all the bike gear but no bike

hey jon, i had many happy years biking, especially touring europe on my honda st1100 but unfortunately my wife developed arthritis and was unable to carry on riding pillion.rather than pack in altogether i decided to try to re live my youth and went back to scootering. i bought a lambretta AND a vespa, had 2 or 3 years at that but then decided to "retire" so i sold the lammy and passed the vespa on to my daughter, at least it`s still in the family!
do i miss biking?.....of course i do:'(
would i like another bike?...of course i would;)
am i likely to get another?.....of cou....no chance:shake:
so, togging it is:lol:

thanks roly, i know exactly what you mean about fighting the urge.
i`m still having to use the spare eyes in the back of my head on my daily peddle to work n back on the mountain bike. " sorry mate, i didn`t see you", if only i had a quid every time i heard that:lol:

I was going to get a pan but I went for the ZZR 1100, a bit of a bus I liked them so much I got through three of them. I always wanted a Lambretta, but I got a honda spacey instead, lammy way too dear ;) .

I have put bikes on hold for a little while, as I want to get into photo stuff a little more, it's really addictive ;) . Once again welcome to the forums, there is masses to read through on here, I am still finding my way about
