Hi Everyone,

Just registered in a landscape photography night class yesterday. Found myself totally lost in the terms. So many questions...

Just want to say hi to everybody for now and I like this place and enjoy reading all of your threads!

Thanks everyone, I will check out the link you guys recommended.

I'm going to purchase some GND filters for landscaping lesson in about 2 weeks. B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/) is the north american based online shop that carries lots of filter brands. Could anyone give me some suggestions on choosing the brand since I don't want to replace them when I get a little advanced.

Right now my purchasing list is:

1. kokin filter holder P (+ 77mm ring adapter)
2. 1 GND 2-stop soft edge
3. 1 GND 3-stop hard edge
4. 1 bag holding the filters

For the filters, the brands are: Lee, B+W, Cokin, Hitech, Singh-Ray, Schneider, Tiffen, Hoya

There are just too many of them and I really have no experience of what is good and bad. Any suggestions?
