Yes
I suspect a lot of people wont know who he was but I was sad to learn that Ronnie James Dio passed away today (Sunday) aged 67.

R.I.P Dio.

What a great musician he was. Such a shame to finally start seeing all the previous era's greatest musicians pass away :(

How sad is that :(

Loved and still love his work, always amazed at how so much power could have come from someone so small!

I think I'll spend today playing out his complete works as tribute.

We Rock!

A sad loss for the rock world.
RIP Ronnie.

RIP.

John Bonham - Drums
Peter Steele - Bass
Randy Rhoads/Dime - Guitars
Dio - Vocals

The best band is in heaven, I'd say. What do we have? Justin effing Bieber.

Sad news, thought it was a bit ambitious having Heaven and Hell on the bill of the High Voltage gig in July

I was playing Rainbow's "Rising" this morning on my mp3 player during the trip to work unaware that Ronnie had died

Another sad loss to the music world, RIP RJD

I'd change Peter Steele for Cliff Burton on bass and add Steve Clark on guitars.

Or indeed Hendrix.

Or indeed Lambert, Hendricks and Ross

RIP \,,/

Aye, it's been poor year with the loss of Pete Steele and now the mighty Dio..... 'Stargazer' is one of my all time favourite tracks and I'm gutted I never got to see Heaven n' Hell....

Sad news, RJD's music has been a huge part of my life. I was lucky enough to see him live with Black Sabbath and many times with Dio and even a few years ago he could still belt out a tune.

Been listening to a lot of RJD - Rainbow / Sabbath & Dio over the last day or so.

Perhaps it's just because it's all so familiar but I've certainly been reminded of just how good he was !

Stargazer
A Light in the Black
Die Young
Children of the Sea
Rainbow in the Dark

The Last in Line too.
