Roll paper cutting

I will be cutting my first 24inch roll today so any advice or tips and tricks welcome, what tools required etc, it's 240g fin art smooth finish.

I use a scalpel blade to cut paper

Thanks, thought about buying one but I have some very nice blades for cutting, was looking more at accessories, cutting surface, guides types, that sort of thing.

I'm also using CS4 InDesign, so any hints or tips greatly welcomed.
