My Patterson rotary paper developer tank can use as little as 55ml of chemistry to develop a sheet (of paper) but I'll be doing 5x4 FP4+. Now if I do 1+25 in that 55ml call it 60ml thats ~2.5ml of rodinal. Is that enough working chemical to develop a sheet of 5x4 with constant (rotation) agitation? I'll probably make up a 120ml batch with 5ml and half it to make the measurements easier.

It should be fine, I've done a roll of 120 Rollei ATP with 2ml of Rodinal before with no issues.

So I could probably get away with doing two sheets once I get the process down?

Maybe...

Years ago I would develop FP4 36 exposures, 35 mm film in a 300 ml tank using Rodinol at 1% strength - i.e 3 ml Rodinol.

If it was finer grain with faster film, Rodinal would be the begining, middle and end of film development, everybody else might as well go home.

We believed that using this developer at low concentrations and extended development times (around 15 minutes) gave an added sharpness similar to that produced by the unsharp mask.

Just need to continually go up a format.

Worked okay, still a little faffy but okay.

I could probably do 2 films, the little sub tank will take 150ml so that should hold enough chemistry. Still considering a jobo...

I'll have a CPE-2 up for sale soon-ish :coat:
