I'm after a robust softbox approx 2ft square for use outdoors with my speedlites.

The softbox must fix securely to the ring holding the flash(es).

Suggestions?

I use a lastolite, FiTP sells identical units for a quarter of a price so I'd go look there

vv nice light quality

I've got a 32" FiTP one. Great VFM.
However it does not fix securely to the ring. that doesn't matter inside, but I wouldn't trust it outdoors in a bit of breeze.

The strobies soft boxes looks a little small?

Why not?

Mine takes some physical effort to remove from the ring that would equate to a hell of a breeze to rip it off.

Well for starters, there is no way of keeping the softbox orientated. Some physical effort is indeed required, though I'm sure the wind could easily emulate that effort.

mine allways blows stands over before it trys to seperate from the ring so I dunno, the design is a straight pattern copy I think.......

It's to be used on a boom, so it blowing over won't be an issue.

Westcott seem to do something which might do the trick. Hard to come by over here though. :(
