Mineral - The oof subject isn't helping this one I'm afraid
Sense - I like the edit. Compositionally more pleasing to the eye than the first one. The lighting feels nicer on this one as well.

Mineral....I like the inclusion of the bg on this to give some context ( as opposed to just the stones in their own ) :) maybe a higher ISO would have helped with it being handheld ?

The 2nd shot for Sense ( even though an older shot ) works better for me....possibly converting to mono would help with the blown sky ? Quite like Andy's idea of using a triptich for the monument shot as there's a lot going on , closer shots of the individual elements ?
 
Hi, I like the stones with the river in the back ground. It would be better if that front stone was in focus.

Sense, perfect for the theme. The tree behind is a bit distracting, maybe a larger aperture would have helped. The second shot is better though, I would have just done that again :)
 
Mineral - Nice Dof just a little soft and the lichen on LHS of rock is distracting.

Sense - Fits the theme well for both weeks 7 and 8 (2 for 1 ;)) Crit has been mentioned re tree.
 
Hi first one of the sunset could do with a crop the aerial on the left looks odd
not sure on the focus point in the second
time works but needs a different composition
 
Agree with losing the left hand ariel in the sunset.

Meh ;)

I like this but would have liked to have seen more of the clock face
 
Hi Rob,

You've met the theme for them all.

Ending: Compositionally It doesn't stand out for me, but when I see the sun going down, I prefer to see it in the distance across a scenic landscape.
Positive: Good idea, but it's a shame the lamp is dirty
Time: I like this best out of the three submissions, I like what you've done with the second hand.
 
Ending - Agree it needs a LH crop to lose the ariel otherwise pretty ok (y)

Positive - Not for me I'm afraid the light need more of a glow for this to work.

Time - Clever idea just not sure on the composition. (y)
 
Ending - Fits the theme but looks like a snap taken from the front door - Sorry

Positive - Nice idea. Would it be worth cropping a bit off the bottom to bring more attention to the bulb?

Time - I like this. Using just part of the clock works well. The addition of the moving second hand adds some further interest
 
Ending: Nice exposure on the sun but not keen on what it's setting over.

Positive: As I've said on other positives, I find little connection between AC power and 'positive', but nevertheless, I like the exposure and the picture overall.

Time: Best of the three and fits the theme perfectly. I especially like the fact that you only have the second hand between two hours rather than between the two hands. It adds interest.

AC power has positive and negative states just like DC, so i think its still valid.
 
Hi, Ending, on theme but doesn't grab me. Have to repeat what someone said about it looking like a snap :(

Positive is much better and a good idea. Just a little dark.

Ending, best one and well taken to show the hand moving.

I like the crop on Time and the second hand, lighting is good too.

Time....well shot to get movement in the second hand & it's level (y) just need a little work on the composition....try to get more of the numbers fully in ?

Positive.....on theme for me , a hard subject to shoot exposure wise so I think you've done well...just needs a slight cw rotation to straighten it up

End......different to the normal sunset image but still works for me.....just crop a little from the lhs to lose the piece of aerial :)

Very interesting effect, it works well with the nice long pathway :)

Linked - Nice composition, not completely sure if the lock is over exposed, other than that a pleasing image with a spot on DoF and a nice old rusty chain :thumbs:

Hiya Rob, I agree with whats been said with regards the exposure on the lock, however the the rest is nicely exposed and a good DOF. The tones and textures in the chin are nice and its nicely composed.
 
Swirl - I really like this. It's almost like looking down through a jam jar LOL. Using the path into the woods works well.

Linked - Compositionally works well and DoF has been nicely handled.

Linked- good detail in the rusty chain, crop works well for me (y) As mentioned, shame the lock looks a tad over exposed, could you not retrieve it a little more in PP? :)
 
Not to keen on the swirl, makes me feel a little ill :)

Your link is very good, nice detail in the chain and post with the lock in a pleasing to the eye position.

liking that Swirl image...almost looks like viewing a scene though bottle glass....nice touch keeping the path straight as well :)

Linked....great use of DOF , padlock looks a little bright & maybe a touch soft , plenty of detail in the rusty chain though.....maybe tempted to boost the saturation a smidge more to make it really pop :)

Nice photo, just needs a little "punch" if you see what I mean.

I like the steps as they seem to dip slightly to the left as they come down from being level at what I see as eye level.
 
Hi, I'd agree with Mark about it needing a bit more punch. Looks like the light was flat and not a lot of colour for you to play with.
