LOL. No2 Son pointed it out to me - he does some engineering work for a firm developing similar stuff.This one is being developed (they say)to recover injured people from difficult terrain, but you have to wonder about the military possibilities of it. There I go being cynical again. ;)

You'l also find out the American Army is developing the same thing to carry the gear to the front line instead of there packs etc, and to get injured soliders of the front line etc. There was a documentry about about 'Future Military equipment' on discovery not long ago.
