So, you enter a competition to win two weeks cruising Scandinavia and Russia with your favourite other person (over 21 years of age).

Then it turns out you've actually won two weeks unpaid work as a ship's photographer, have to hand over rights to the photos you take while on 'holiday', act as an 'correspondent' for the cruise company, and you will be required to perform some other services for them which they can't tell you about right now, but will notify you of 'from time to time'...

oh, and some Magnum photographers have gotten themselves tangled up in this mess as judges of the competition.

What a complete joke, never heard of them in the first place!

As far as I'm concerned, they can jog on!

..and they'll try and pressure sell you timeshare whilst your there lol

Seems to me who ever wrote the blog has gone through the t&c's and then painted the absolute worst case scenario, as so many do with these things. He could equally well have read it and said oh it's not quite a free trip I've got to snap a few photo's on my smartphone stick them on the web and then give them to the cruise company, which in reality is what they are asking for. Is it really that unreasonable for the company to ask for copyright of a few crappy smartphone pics in exchange for a two week holiday?

Remember everyone who rights on the web is chasing traffic so will write the most extreme interpretation they can to spike interest.

The reply from the Celebrity online marketing manager agrees that some of the conditions were unnecessary and that they are amending others.
