RIP Richie Benaud

Yeah I saw this on the news right before I left home this morning.
The iconic voice of cricket, remembered by me as far back as I can go.
And he did come out with some corkers:
"And Glenn McGrath dismissed for two, just ninety-eight runs short of his century"

RIP Richie.
 
I ain't no cricket fan (unless the English are getting beat, which means I've been watching quite a lot recently:D) but he was the voice of cricket for as long back as I can remember. RIP.
 
One of the "old guard" in the World of cricket but was still very much in touch with the modern game.

Whilst I actually like the Sky commentary team with their array of ex-England captains and players (as well as other ex-international stars), Benaud was in a class of his own!
 
Sad sad news.

One of those voices of my childhood.
