Phil Taylor erstwhile drummer of that well known easy listening trio Motorhead has passed away aged 61, RIP or rock on whichever suits best

Motörhead were a real favourite of mine back in the day, nearly blew the roof off once at the old Stafford Bingley Hall!
 
Saw them a few times in their 3 piece days - sort of surprised that any of them lasted this long TBH!
 
RIP Phil, I grew up listening to Motorhead and still have all their vinyl records! One of the best bands I've seen.
 
Aye, sad indeed. Great drummer in a great band. Believe it or not he was a Skinhead in his early days too. RIP.

That was my original thought but he had nothing to do with that track. ;)
 
I was at the Lyceum many years ago (seeing Girlschool among others, if I remember correctly) I bumped into Lemmy and Phil in the bar and mentioned that I'd seen them a few weeks earlier (Bomber tour) and though they were great (I used a couple of other forum-unfriendly words here). Phil responded by grabbing me and giving me a big, slobbering kiss on the neck. Happy days!
