RIP to a remarkable man.
High Flight

RIP sir you have surely run the race well.
 
Read his book, he was turned down by the RAF so he joined the Navy. Fantastic life, fantastic man.

Yes, I hope they repeat it. He was a remarkable man and from what I recall of the programme of the generation that was not boastful or proud, he just did he job/duty but did enjoy the flying..............and boy did he fly! I doubt anyone will ever match let alone beat his records of achievement.
