I know the O flash is ****, what are the others like or does it have to be rayflash money?

I can see myself using canon ttl a lot from now on and a ring flash will make any on axis fill a little better :D

I'm really liking the on axis fill to fairly raked key back that I've been seeing on strobist lately

David Hobby uses the Orbis, Rayflash does the same job, the rest are pants as far as I know.

you can buy a proper ringflash on ebay for £66, its the same as the Marumi....

We have the Orbis and the bracket at the studio. It is good for the price but not great for location use as it sucks up a lot of light!
I can recommend it *** if you wanna get that look and not pay £900+ for the real thing.
:)

Having witnessed David Hobby use the Orbis for on-axis fill at the Strobist seminar I can see the attraction, but the price of the Orbis is :cuckoo:, it might not be quite as well suited to Strobist work, but the importers sell the genuine Rayflash ones on Fleabay for a lot less than retail and about a third the price of an Orbis, judging by recent prices....

cheers guys 70 quid is doable and on the list :D

I've heard a lot about the cheap ones being **** and was just a bit hopeful :D
