Starts around 4am UK time Sunday morning

also Amir Khan's fight's on about 10pm Saturday
and the Liverpool game is live as well

BIG weekend of drinking planned

not gonna be a pretty sight on sunday :puke:

I can't be bothered to dish out £15 to watch it, and I probably wouldn't stay up anyway, so I'll probably just watch it at a later date. It promises to be a great fight though.

Best of luck to the Hit Man, I really hope he does it, been watching him for quite a few years, he's a great advert for the sport

Starts around 4am UK time Sunday morning

So that'll be 6am for me, might have a look when I let the dogs out and make the tea, if it's on Eurosport that is.

We'll be up watching it. I am not a massive boxing fan but being a Mancunian and a MCFC fan we have followed Ricky's career closely. He is a big blue and comes onto the pitch with his belts after every title fight. His dad played for City as well. He appears to be a genuinly nice bloke outside of the ring but having watched him recently in the televised sparring sessions he has never been in better shape and looks like he is ready to kill Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather. :)

I'd love to watch it live. Havent got sky though :(

Did anyone else watch the manchester interview?

Someone I know has gone to Las Vegas to watch it the lucky thing! Not fair!!
I wish I could watch it...unfortunately I have a party to go to :P. And for £15, I would rather wait till I can see it for free! Im sure it is worth the money, however will be partying hard at that time!! :)

Progrma starts at 11 and fight is at 2am on Sunday morning

Already book it. Will be staying up to watch all the fights on the program. Good luck to Ricky not that he will need luck

Progrma starts at 11 and fight is at 2am on Sunday morning

I know program starts at 11
I think Sky Sports might of mentioned it, about 10 million times this week!

As for the fight start time, Sky website says 2am but that probably a bit of a con to get people to pay for it, the build up will be from 2am but don't expect to see them in the ring til 4am!

We've got a poker night planned as the lead up, and then the big fight. Can't wait :D

I'm staying up for this one. Not too happy about paying £15 for it but it should be one hell of a fight.

Sorry boys, as much as I want Hatton to win this Is a mismatch.

Hatton's style Is basically, come forward diving towards you, hoping he can lay of the pressure. While he dives though his guard Is open and his chin Is out in the air and he gets hit while going In. Once he's In, he follows with rough house fouling followed by bodyshots.

A fast slick counter puncher with accuracy and timing will give Hatton nightmares and Floyd Mayweather Is a true talent.

Not sure I agree, I think Mayweather has hugely underestimated Hatton. Hatton throws volume and he needs to land 3 times as many as MW to stand a chance, but he is capable of doing that. No doubt whatsoever that MW is a phenominal talent and to win he'll need to knock him out, as Hatton will not get a points decision. I can't wait !!

It seems to be Hatton who Is doing more of the Underestimating though. He thinks smart keeping your distance boxing Is running when he's calling Floyd a runner.

Well the Liverpool result put me in a bad mood :'(

but seeing Amir take that guy to pieces in 70 seconds goes some way to cheering me up, :D

Just hope Ricky can do the same now! :boxer:

Just as Stevie said.

A crap result for us today. Something to cheer up with Amir, and hopefully something to finish the night with Ricky!

As much as I want Ricky to win, he's going to have to watch Mayweather, who is an awesome talent. He's also going to have to watch his cuts.

I've booked it too :) grrr even though it's annoying paying for it.

Hatton does cut easy and it may get stopped if he's not careful, but.. his body shots are something else, a few of them will put mayweather on his arrogant arse.. :)

Does anyone know if it's on 'normal telly' at normal o'clock? I've not got sky but would love to watch the match on Sunday during the day sometime ....

Right. I'm off to bed.

Unfortunately, Ricky was knocked down in round 9 and the ref stopped the fight.

Thats a shame lets hope Hatton gets over it and carries on boxing :'(
Bob

The ref totaly spoilt the fight.

He was outclassed, but the man did us proud

He did say he would continue to fight, probably back in his natural weight :)

Hatton was totally reckless and had no defence, taking nearly all of a Mayweather's punches on the chin, It was Inevitable he was going to get stopped eventually.

Hatton also looked slower as he used to be quicker than that.

All he was doing was plowing forward towards Mayweather not defending any shots and thinking fitness and pressure would win It.

Hattons problem was the ref I would say.

He likes to fight close and deliver body shots, with the occaisional inside hooks. Cortez didn't even allow this.

As soon as he split them up, and Ricky continued to walk into attack, he kept continuing to walk onto the end of those extra 7inch arms. Mayweather picked his spots accurately and did what was needed to be done.

Unlucky Ricky, but this would have been different under a different ref.
