Richborough Power station, Kent - Demolition 11th March

I've had a look on a map either Richborough Castle or around Minster might have some options for long distance shots, I'm going to try and take a run down there before Sunday to check out some options.

Reading the Kentnews website, it states:

"There is no official location for people to watch the demolition, although nearby coastal parks are expected to be a popular vantage point. If the demolition does not take place on Sunday it could be deferred to the next two Sundays.

The spokesman for BFL said they did not want to create an official event because of safety concerns.

He said: “After discussions with local authorities, the Highways Agency and police we did not think it would be appropriate to organise an official event. This is a heavily regulated demolition so our focus is entirely on carrying that out safely.”"

Managed to find a parking space near the airport on one of the side roads, couldn't believe the numbers of people there.

I haven't got a DSLR at the moment so was using my 6MP Canon S3IS. Managed to get shots of the towers on mid fall (using continuous shot mode),almost missed the first tower (As did most people I think). I might try and post something later once I've had a look through them.

Shame about the haze -would any filters help with it?

we had a detour at sturry, roadworks on crossing,
we parked up by holiday inn, and walked down footpath,
lots of peeps about,
not happy with shots,
sea mist,

I managed to get the other side, parked up early, but it was pretty busy.

As above, quite hazy, and shooting partially into the sun:
