weekly Richard, 52 week - Change added

Hi Richard, definitely odd and an apt start I have to ask whats it from?

Hi Richard & welcome aboard

Good start...simple , effective & bold colors...like it (y)

ps....can't get the linky to work from the pic only thread ?

Thanks for the feedback. Alsjazzera its part of the spine of a book entitled 1001 walks. Will try and fix the link.

Hi Richard, I like the crop in this image. Im quite intrigued as to what this image actually is, i.e. what the 001 is on. My only critique is the dirty marks on the RH 0 and just above the 01. A good image though, nice and sharp and defiantly on theme.

Yep, another good image Richard (y) took me a second to see what it was.

Just one tiny critique if I may, I would have liked to have seen the bottom of the top slat in the top left corner to balance the bottom left :)

What is it about lines and b&w going well together

Hi Richard,
on theme you could have even closed the blinds a little more and got a better DoF without the distractions of whats outside the window
good start though

Thanks for the comments. Hadn't spotted the top slat composition, but that's a good idea

Nice strong lines, looks like you've nailed the exposure nicely

Thanks for the comments, I tried a few options with blind closed at different angle, I just liked the idea of being able to see something through the window, Burt I do agree about the distraction.

It's the spine of a book - 1001 walks. I could have cloned out the scratches, but as it was the warm-up I was feeling lazy.

An excellent start - two very strong images. You've nailed the DOF in Week 1 and the lighting is excellent.

Odd - Difficult to crit as I can't work out what it is but it is obviously on theme
Linear/Line - Nice light and the slight diagonal makes this work well.

Hi
took me a while to work out what this was but a lovely clean sharp image. like the 'almost' view out of the window.

Nice start Richard,

Odd is simple, sharp and I like the gradiented blue dropping round the tube.

Lines is a good job too, horizontals, verts and diagonals too. The car outside is a bit of a distraction although I didnt notice it at first

But your dogs a cracker, great colours and detail in its fur, lovely vibrant colours on its toy.. The clip of the tail could be mentioned, but the missing front paw says to me more of a deliberate closeup framing, than a slip!

Your dog at play is a cracker (y) looks very sharp, great detail. I was drawn straight to the eyes :)

Odd- Nice contrast and good colours just need to remove some of the marks.
Line - Like this, nice and sharp not much to improve except slightly better framing as already said. I don't actually think the car outside is a distraction.
Play - Excellent love the framing, colours etc bang on

If its got a dog in it it gets my vote

Clipped tail is not to my taste but I can live with the crop of the front foot, much as you would if it was a 3/4 shot of a person.
