Just received a PM (thanks sender) who's advised me Rich (u8myufo) is back in hospital. He evidently had a fall at a bonfire night and had badly injured an ankle and has broken bones.
On a more serious note- any bets when he has another accident or hospital visit?
I'd say its a virtual certainty he'll get over excited thinking about T and ingrid in naughty nurse costumes and wind up back in A&E with another heart malfunction
Well despite being told not to, I am heading up three flights of stairs for a bath in a moment Pete. Cannot be doing with just a bloody flannel to wash my bits![]()
or slipping and doing the other legWaaaay too much information!
Anyone taking bets on him getting the cast wet?
Don`t waste yer money I`m back in one and half bitsThe wife was so kind to me...................... she decided only to hold me down under the water for a short time before changing her mind

I`m sure you will have enough spare change in your purse Ingridb****r how much to bribe her next time![]()

Bloody Co Codamol just got stuck in my throat and started to dissolve. Not nice!!![]()
Ewww yuk!
Seriously, you might want to look at alternatives, as codeine has an unfortunate side effect if you take them for a while.
If you can manage with paracetemol your bum will thank you!
Doing fine thanks heather, I have cut back on the Codamol as the pain has eased off quite a bit today. I am taking one of them every four hours and one 400mg Ibupofen every two hours.
Good.
Should you you not be taking the Co Codamol two at a time though?
...and not wishing to worry you but be careful about your stomach with the Ibuprofen too.
Have to say that apart from the acute stage (the couple of days after the op, when I was glad of the opiate option!), Paracetamol seemed to be the best of the bunch. Rich, probably worth trying some Fybogel or similar if the Cocodamol bung you up.
Clifton Heights I reckon NodSo, Rich, where are you on the Bristol scale?![]()
Glad your on the mend Rich, but really mate, just because we become an old fart doesn't mean we have to act like one
Mind you my mothers been going down like a sack of spuds ever since her 70th, bust an ankle and wrist on her birthday visit to the butterfly farm after doing a reverse twist back flip (9 points for artistic merit) by the pond .. shes been in and out of the local hospital so much she has her own bed there now lol
the circle of life I suppose. At least we all laugh at it all.

IIRC you had a heart attack and had a stent fitted. If so, you're probably on dual antiplatelet therapy (eg aspirin + clopidogrel). They both can increase the risk of bleeding from the stomach. Ibuprofen is notorious for causing gastritis which can easily lead to bleeding, esp when your blood is so thin. I'd be wary, stick to co-codamol or have a chat with your GP if it's insufficient.Well it said one every four hours Heather but no more than two every four hours, not to exceed 8 in 24 hrs. They said at the hospital if I needed anymore painkillers to take Ibupofen as it does not contain paracetamol as the codamol already has that in it.

If I ever meet your wife, remind me to buy her a drink!!!
Fields can be very comfortable, can't they?
