Any ideas for getting some Greek landscapes, I will be visiting Rhodes in the next few weeks, I have Lindos and Rhodes town on the list maybe visit butterfly valley. Any other places you think I should visit on the island?

Hi Shaun, I've been to Rhodes a couple of times, travelled most of the island.
Lindos and Rhodes Town are must see's.
Butterfly Valley again is a nice place, though I didn't take any photos there. Prasonisi beach is a cool sight too, the Med on one side of the sand, the Aegean on the other. One is nice and calm, the other is full of windsurfers on big waves.
Not great for photography but the Ostrich Farm is good, make sure you feed them, they're really gentle!
Also Seven Springs is good too, you can walk through a 186m tunnel to get from the springs to the waterfall. It's a very dark, small tunnel, not one for the claustrophobic but a nice place for a day out.
Where on the island are you staying?

You can see my images from both trips on Flickr if you're interested, newer ones are better - https://www.flickr.com/photos/jaketurner92/albums/72157629995402098

Staying in kolymbia at the hotel Lydia Maris which seem pretty central.

Some nice pictures on your Flickr account, I especially like you Milky Way star constellation, which is something I would like to try.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monolithos,_Greece amazing place, just try to not fall off the edge as it is certain death lol

https://www.google.com/search?q=mon...ChMInez83LqwxwIVKpvbCh1x3QrL&biw=1920&bih=965 lots of photos here to give you some ideas.

I went quite a few years ago and it was scary when you got to the edge as there is just a sheer drop after that.

You can also walk round the outside of the old town. The old town is set inside the old caste walls but round the outside the walls are surrounded by lots of greenery.

Oh and don't forget to get a photo of the fountain in the old town Square, everybody gets one of those lol

I'll be honest, if i went back there now i have my camera i doubt i would come back for a couple of months. The whole island is just a photo waiting to happen.

Hire a car, you can drive around the island in a day.
Valley of the butterflies, take water, it's generally hot, all uphill (with a cafe at the top). Check the butterflies are there before you go.
Tsampika monastery is beautiful, on a hill with great views. Any woman walking up barefoot is supposed to get pregnant.
Lindos again is interesting, beautiful, but don't miss out on the small beach on the south side as you drive past. You can park right by it and it's a small bay with beautiful clear water.
If driving there from Rhodes direction there's an archery place where you can shoot 3d rubber animals around the hillside.
Monolithios and the castle, Kritinia castle, the water park looked pretty good but shut the day before we arrived, Filerimos has a huge cross on a hill you can walk up steps to the top.

The water park is very good. It was 41 degrees when I was there, if you go, buy the socks they sell, trust me, your feet will thank you. That floor gets damn hot.

When i went there back in 1995, Faliraki was a bit of a ghost town with just the small road with bars on it and the beach at the end. I wouldn't go back there now if you paid me. This is one place to avoid to be honest.

It's not really jumping these days. We went there one night and it was pretty dead.

Last time i went there was 2004 and the place was a nightmare. I drove into the main street to get down to the beach and there were people everywhere and a bloody McDonalds too. They ruined the place.

The same as most of the party destinations on the Greek islands.
As far as I'm aware the McDonalds has gone. Faliraki isn't really on the hot spot list for youngsters these days.
