Reviewing my backup

I manually back up using MS synctoy my picture folders etc straight after I add something new. My backup method creates 2 backup copies so my files exist 3 times. Not as frequently as I perhaps should I make a further copy on a plug in drive that is kept away from everything else as a disaster recovery.
Lastly every couple of months I image the system drive in my PC so I can get back from a drive failure/virus/whatever pretty quickly.

I was thinking its not just Photos but things like my PST file for outlook and contacts as I am not sure if they are embedded in the PST or another file.

to be honest it doesnt really matter what software you use, ms backup, synctoy, robocopy, allway sync etc. ms backup has the advantage of being compressed i guess.

ive always used a direct copy tool (allway sync until i switched to the built in backup on my NAS) without compression as storage is pretty cheap again now.

mine runs nightly by the way.

somebody here recommended ''Karens Replicator'' to me - free

runs C:\user\user\folders to 2 external HDDs when scheduled - seems ok to me
