Happy new year to you all from the mod team at TalkPhotography.

As 2025 draws to a close (a quarter of a century on from the millennium ) it feels like a good moment to pause and reflect on another strong year for TalkPhotography.

Once again, the forum has been filled with a wide and varied range of images, from quiet everyday observations to long running projects and communal thread, along with the thoughtful discussion and practical advice that so often accompany them. That mix is very much what has kept the forum going over the years.

We’d like to thank everyone who has contributed during the year, whether by sharing their photographs, offering feedback, asking questions, or simply taking the time to read and take part. All of it helps to make TalkPhotography a friendly, knowledgeable and enjoyable place to spend time.

Thanks to you all for being part of the community, and we look forward to seeing what 2026 brings.

I'm a great admirer of people who sustain projects and an honorable mention goes to @BethAtTheHug for her excellent project

Thanks to ~Gav. for running several challenges in 2025 and to @Topsy for picking up the baton on those in 2026.

Thanks also the mod team from myself and @lindsay for their invaluable and thankless work in keeping this the best place in the internet.

Some fantastic shots, hope and inspiration for the year ahead.

Some cracking images there, thanks for including one of mine. I've been coming here since I first picked up a camera 15 years ago, I'm more of a browser than a poster, but thanks to the guys keeping this place running behind the scenes, I've picked a lot up from here over the years. All the best to everyone.
