Edit My Images
Yes
I'm just playing with a trial version of this software. It claims to simply and easily remove unwanted objects from images for those with the minimum or no editing skills whatsoever.

I gave it a pretty fair test on the following image which is typical of unwanted background detail you might want to remove....

I have to say it's quite impressive. All you do is paint over the area you want removing then hit a 'Play' button and the offending object is removed and replaced with background 'intelligently' blended into it's surroundings.
The edit has been done just using Inpaint and it was very quick - less than a couple of minutes. Obviously it can be improved by a little hand blending/cloning by conventional means, but a great deal of tedious editing time has been saved using this software.

For the newcomer who is new to editing this can be a very good way of eliminating unwanted details from images - it's not a replacement for advanced editing skills but while those skills are being acquired, this software is a way to tackle editing they otherwise couldn't
Even those more advanced in image editing will probably find this a real time saver even though they'll want to hand finish the results by more conventional means.

FINAL RESULT...

After 2 minutes in PaintShop Pro.... Overall editing time - 4minutes.

You can't save edited images with the trial version, but you can of course get around this using screen capture.

Come on then...give it a go, I'd love to know what people think of this.

Ah....never saw your previous post. First I knew about this was when I got a reduced Mac Promo offer via email today. :)

The free one was only for Windows so you didn't miss out

that is very very good. thanks for sharing this. Just tried the trial version and very impressed. My clonning skills are terrible. And this proved awesome.

Anyone have the full version they can send me?

c'mon. someone clearly has this from the giveaway. just share the seriel code. jesus.

Doesn't work like that - you have to register it during the active 24 hours it's on Giveawayoftheday. It'll probably come around again.

i guess that would make sense. but still. I dont want wait till it "comes around" again. that could mean months.
