I'm assuming I can post a positive review? :D

Popped down to the Unit today to pick up some goodies from Bessel (first time using them), and I was very impressed! Really nice guy running it. The items are really good quality and a lot cheaper than companies like Lastolite etc. The vinyl backgrounds are especially good for the prices they give!!

They have the snoots/beauty dishes etc, and on the website you see the price and the photo and think they have to be cheap, but he was showing me a load of the items that were out (I'm like a kid in a sweet shop!) & they're all really good quality products, just not branded so a lot cheaper.

The huge softboxes are like umbrellas, so you can easily take them down and back up again :D (Saves any eye pokages!)

Definitely get a thumbs up from me, and I'll definitely be going back for bits and bobs! :thumbs:

Just wondering, do you have any further thoughts after using the kit for a while? Especially interested in the vinyl and softboxes.
 
Haven't used their softboxes yet (though I do want the MASSIVE one, that I could probably fit myself in....) However, I have used their snoot, beauty dish & 3 different vinyls and I can honestly say I haven't had any problems :) They've all been used quite a few times now and they've been fab!
 
Just had a look at their site, 200cm x 40cm stripbox - mmm tempting at that price :)

How's the white vinyl? Is it properly white? Price seems very good for a 2.9x3.
 
I'm getting it out later on, i'll take some photographs for you? I've never thought of it as NOT being white....
 
I've got their 120cm 'speedbox' umbrella action octobox... fantastic. And £76 posted including a grid. very good quality, well built.. perfect tbh.
 
V, did you pick the stuff up from them in Swadlingcote?

This came in the post a few days ago as well as the BD. Wholly agree, very well made and brilliant price.

Brilliant service too... The delivery man only gave me one of the two items. I phoned Bessel up and explained, they gave him a ring and asked him to return with the other item! :)
 
Chris, yes, every time I've gone down to Swadlincote. Really great guy who owns Bessel & he'll happily show you any of the items you're interested in & you can have a nosy!
