Hi folks!
I was a member and occasional visitor here a long, long time ago but for personal reasons had taken a break from photography for the last few years. I am now in the position to return to my favourite hobby and am also thinking of selling a few of my film cameras and investing in a DSLR. I'm down in Kent and mainly enjoy architecture and a bit of landscape when I get the chance. Still love film, as well as stuff like lomography and instagram, all good fun!
With my love of Nikon and the price bracket in mind, I'm thinking of a Nikon D5200. A quick question too, I'm wondering whether to buy body only and then 28mm and 50mm primes lenses, or to buy the kit with the 18-55mm. The cost isn't a worry but are primes still the option for quality or doesn't it matter nowadays? Also, is dust or damage still an issue to the sensor if regularly changing lenses? Forgive these questions, as I say, I've been out of the hobby for a long time!
Many thanks, Ben.
