Hi All,

I've only recently taken up photography and post processing is a total mystery to me. While I've use photoshop for graphics in the past I'm not sure how to approach retouching photos.

I've largely been doing studio photography so far so its retouching models that I'm struggling with at the moment. :bang:

Are there any online resources, courses or DVD's that anyone can recommend?

Thanks.

Can't think of any off the top of my head to recommend, but I've found loads in the past by just searching Google or Youtube or "photoshop retouching tutorial" or similar.

Try this

:)

It's mine, and all about retouching "models"
So far I've got posts on

global colour correction
Safe cloning
Dodge & burn using 3 different methods
2 finishing methods
Localised sharpening using High Pass

Each technique is written up as a separate post, and the workflow is to start with colour correction then, clone, dodge & burn, finish

There's also youtube video's supporting each technique, but using different images to the written sections. I also explain why I use Flow instead of Opacity for my brushes.

It's a work in progress, so if there's something you want to know let me know and I'll add it to the list of posts to write. I'll be writing one one eyes this week, and localised colour correction is one for a future post too.

Thanks Jason, some useful tips on your blog. :thankyou:
