Cowasaki's May "Growing Roots" competition.

Right you lot, having reached the dizzy heights of "Growing Roots" and following other members running similar competitions when they reach certain milestones I have decided to run a competition.

My lovely wife has been commissioned to produce a pair of TP cufflinks using her latest technique in solid sterling silver (like the ones the Marcel and the other site staff have BUT the new technique involves the lettering being etched using ferric nitrate instead of nitric acid so the result is much sharper :)).

So this is your chance to join a very exclusive club. If you are a member of another exclusive club ie female togs then Helen will make you one of her silver circle pendants as an alternative (as modelled here by Danielle).

You all may have seen my bear "Little" who's picture adorns 8000+ posts across this forum (my avatar), well the competition is the best Teddy Bear picture taken before the closing date of the end of May.

The picture may be just the bear, a bear in a strange place, something cute, something comical or anything else you can think of.

So get shooting.

Rules are nothing posted already, any pictures cruel to bears will be excluded, I decide who wins, you pick which of the two prizes if you win.

I will open a separate thread now for the actual entries only one entry per person and they must be visible at the end of May.

Great idea Darren and many thanks!! Can I also say, having seen the cufflinks, and being the owner of the above modelled Necklace, Helens jewellery is fantabulous and well worth submitting an entry - get those teddy bears posing! :thumbs:

There are some great entries so far. I am not saying anything about any of them though because I'm judging :)
 
Thanks Darren I might have a go ....will dig out some teddies and see if I have anything photogenic.
 
I've been meaning to try taking a low-key portait and felt that a static bear was a good starting point. However, if I see or become inspred by something else before the end of the month I might change it.

Because I am such a softy I am going to have a kids competition too. Prize will be a teddy bear wearing a T shirt with the winning photo on it. I am sat in the garden looking after my grand daughter at the moment so will post a picture later. Comp is for 14 or younger and I will open a thread for the kids competition later. Let's hope it gets more entrants than the Blackpool zoo kids photo competition! :)

Today's bump and a reminder that there are as yet NO entries in the under 14 category!

Just over 3 weeks to go.
 
I saw this thread the other day and thought I might try something for an entry, then my daughter decided to get into her toy basket with teddy! Sadly you can't quite see teddy clearly, so I might have to coax my daughter back in for another photo! :D
